Wat Arun

When I was in Bangkok there were another temple which I had to stop by, Wat Arun. The Temple of Dawn. Wat Arun is a buddhist temple built in the 19th century. It has a central tower, which is 79 meters tall, surrounded by 4 smaller towers, and it is built in a Khmer-style. Khmer-style is of course from Cambodia, where I am now! There are stairs on the sides of the main tower, and you will be able to climb very high up on the temple. But the stairs are insanely steep! Getting up is no problem, but I really regretted it when I had to go down. I was sure I was gonna fall and die. We were like ten tourists at the top of the stairs standing there and encouraging each other to go down, we were all equally freaked out! Haha! But the whole temple was so beautiful, it is decorated with seashells and porcelain, really detailed.

Golden Mount

During my time in Bangkok I went for a trip to the temple known as Golden Mount. It is a artificial hill in the middle of Bangkok, and is a very popular tourist attraction. I thought the walk up, which has exactly 318 stairs, was very beautiful because everything is sort of a rainforest. And the place got a insane view over Bangkok city. It is even a very cheap attraction, it only cost 20 Baht to enter. It is low season in Bangkok now, and it was even raining when I went there, so there were almost nobody up there. I hate attractions where it is crowded with tourists. I really thought Golden Mount was beautiful.

And actually when I was at the top a young munk asked me for a picture, and of course I said yes, but asked if I could have a picture with him also.

Babel!

Last night I finally arrived here at Babel Guesthouse in Siem Reap, and it is so lovely here. Everybody is really wonderful. Yesterday night a couple of us went out for a few drinks, even though it was a sunday, haha...! The town wasn't really buzzing on a sunday night, but we still had a good time. Today we've all just been chilling out, and some of us have been out to a market and stuff. Just a simple lazy evening, which was good. Most of us who has arrived already are sort of tired after some partying and of course; all the traveling.

Two of my lovely classmates, which also has a blog. Check it out!

I was assigned the Madcon room! Haha!

The Dream

I've now left The Dream hotel and finally arrived at Babel Guesthouse in Siem Reap! And it is wonderful here! But I did have a incredible stay at The Dream, the staff spoiled me rotten. I truly want to go back to both the hotel and the city sometime. I promised you pictures, and here are some from The Dream.

I ♥ BANGKOK

I love this city! I am sorry for not writing, I know some people back home might have been slightly worried... But there is so much to see and do, and not much time for it. But I got so much to tell you guys, but you will most likely have to wait a little, because I still got to explore this amazing city some more! I've been to several magnificent places like Golden Mount, Wat Arun, Wat Pho and so on... I've been shopping a little at both markets and malls. I've gone out for a few beers with some backpackers I met. It has been late nights and early mornings, just to do as much as possible! So to everyone at home; I am having the best time ever!

I will come back with a ton of pictures when I've gone through them all, I have taken waaay to many!

Goodbye Norway!

I am currently sitting on a floor at Oslo Airport since the flight is delayed. But I am so excited to be leaving now, even though I am still sort of sick. I guess I'll get over that as soon as I land in Bangkok, hehe! I am gonna miss everyone home though, but I am still very eager to be traveling now! I'll update when I finally arrive in Bangkok! :)

Btw the plane is more delayed than in the picture...

21

Yo, guys! Today I am 21 years old!

Trondheim

I spent today in Trondheim, getting my hair cut and shopping some necessities before I leave next week. And of course there were a few obligatory stops, like Wok Away for lunch and Wayne's for a Chai Latte and a muffin. Lovely day! I took some pictures also, but none of my hair yet, tomorrow maybe. Trondheim is such a cute city, it is where I am planning to be living when I come home from Cambodia. Good night!
